Good morning, again, everyone. Here it is the end of another week and only one full week left in this fifth month of this year. We should have temps in the 70s so I will uncover everything for the day. I have a good system so I can get all the containers covered or uncovered quickly. Everything looks dry enough to get some of the plants in their permanent places. I have to move the lemon verbena because I forgot how big it gets. Like 5 feet. But it is, as one blogger called it, the queen of the lemon flavored/scented herbs.

I think I agree with you, Kay. Mother Nature is certainly pissed with us. And, when I read stories like this, I often wonder if we, given our leaders, have a collective death wish.

On another note: you asked before about shade loving plants, Kay. I just put in some impatiens in my table-top planter which will be in shade all summer. I chose them because they are supposed to like shade. I got the run of the mill plants; not the more exotic New Guinea type which are way too expensive. The local Home Depot had some on sale--a 6 plant flat for $.99.

I read both your posts, yesterdays & todays. You hadn't posted when I was on the computer yesterday so caught it today :)

We have had wierd weather, we had a 'landspout' yesterday which isn't quite a full blown tornado but it was able to destroy a house & trailer. It appeared out by the airport which is not that far from us. I'm just glad it didn't come any closer. We have tornado's once in awhile here in the springs. In the 70's or 80's a tornado went down the main street in Manitou Springs. Its rare for us to have them, they are more prone to show up closer to the Kansas border. But, yes I think mother nature is peeved with us.

take care :)

I hope those 70s head this way so Bryce and I can clean my front porch tomorrow. (That's precluding that the Rapture doesn't zap us.) I have never had much luck with impatiens. I'm hoping that the wildflower seeds I found will will work well and it looks like the irises that popped up and bloomed last year are going gangbusters this year!!!

I agree and I'll be damned if I can figure out what the powers that be are thinking or even if they still have any working brain cells left.
